Can Abracadabra work for you?
I’ve always loved the idea of magical abilities. Mary Poppins, Samantha Stevens (if you know you know), Hermione Granger, inspire me. It’s fun to imagine singing, wiggling my nose, or waving a wand to attract new business (not to mention to organize my desk or cook healthy meals and clean up afterwards).
Throughout my business life I’ve had a hunch that magic plays a role …
Do you know what abracadabra means?
It has Hebrew and Aramaic roots and translates to: I will create as spoken.
Words are powerful. They are magical.
What are you saying about your money? About your ability to manage and earn money? About the growth of your business?
Your words matter.
What are you saying you’re not good at? Sometimes people I’m working with will say things like: “I’m not good at sales.” “I’m the worst business manager.” “I don’t have a head for numbers.” Really? I don’t believe it. Maybe you are learning more in these areas. Or they are a growth edge for you. Please stop speaking into the world things that are not only not so, but are things you really don’t desire to show up for you.
Here’s another magical tip for the words you use …
Get rid of using the word “want” when you are setting your goals and intentions. Quit saying things like: I want more clients. I want more revenue. Why? Want means lack. If you focus your attention on wanting you’ll get more wanting of whatever you’re focusing on.
Now if you’re thinking, yes Ellen but you need more than words. I agree. Creating prosperity also takes vision and smart actions (a dose of generosity helps a lot too). And, it will be a lot harder, take longer and be less fun without giving significant attention to your thinking and your words.
Every good wish,
Whenever you’re ready …
